It's 2014 and there's people living on the streets in Lancashire.
We're a group of people who are proactively going out Helping The Homeless in East Lancashire... Every wednesday night we will be meeting at the car park opposite Blackburn Fire Station at 8:30pm with our 'Temporary Mobile Soup Kitchen' (Pop-Up Market Stall) feeding those who aren't lucky to have a home.
We need volunteers who can help us with donations of snacks, drinks, gloves/hats, sleeping bags, flasks full of hot drinks / soup, coats or whatever you can think of.
We're going to be forming as a charity soon and will be raising funds for a mobile catering trailer, a van to transport homeless people to spaces in hostels and hopefully work towards facilitating our own temporary accommodation provisions.
We would love it if you could join us this Wednesday (Tomorrow night from 8:30pm) in the carpark next to Blackburn Fire Station so that we can offer hot drinks, food, housing advice, sleeping bags / blankets...
