Hold the Date : Feeding Lancashire Together conference to be held at Brockholes, Preston, on Friday 22nd January 2016.

Food poverty just does not go away. To all those who are responding by providing food, we extend a warm invitation to our conference to be held at Brockholes, Preston, on Friday 22nd January 2016.

from 9:30 am - 2pm

Whether you provide parcels, advice, hot food, cooking lessons, using slow cookers, growing food etc, this will be of interest. We are keen to share experiences and concerns, not least where do we go next given continued austerity measures, including savage local government cuts.

The keynote speaker is Geoff Tansey, Chair of the Fabian Commission on Poverty and Hunger, which has recently reported. Cathy Kay, a Pastoral Head from Blackburn, will speak about the effect of diet on child development. Discussion groups will be followed by lunch, where there will be the opportunity to talk to organisations who have delivered projects to provide food over the last twelve months.
